Tasting Profile
Lovely magenta hues with a clear and slightly darker core. Color remains even, from the core of the wine it’s edge. After swirling the wine, short, chubby, wine-stained tears move slowly downward.
Dark and lush with a rush of sweet blackberry jam, raspberry and blueberry compote. These are followed by spice cherry candy, sweet cedar, sweet brown spice. As the wine breathes, it opens to reveal subtle aromas of leather, dried fall leaves, green tobacco leaf, dusty bramble and a hint of sweet pine needle.
Soft and full on entry, the wine presents a lush mouth full of bright fruit, spice and minerals. These are framed by plush tannins getting the wine a complex, plush, overall feel.
Bold but balanced and juicy this wine is led by jammy blackberry, sweet plum dark, cherry, sweet blueberry, tobacco leaf, wild strawberry and dark mixed spice. As the wine opens it reveals softly toasty oak, sweet spice and black pepper.
Very long, sweet and long-lingering, with sweet dark fruit that gradually gives way to sweet spice, subtle sweet tobacco and flinty black pepper.

About the Winery
Collier Falls is a family-owned vineyard and winery in Healdsburg, California’s beautiful Dry Creek Valley. We make limited quantities of hillside estate red wines from our own sustainably-farmed vineyards in Sonoma County. Our wines are aromatic, complex and elegant, and our name comes from the waterfall below our Zinfandel vineyards.
Each year we strive to grow outstanding fruit and make world-class wines here in Sonoma County. We hope they express the true flavors and characteristics of this wonderful winegrowing region. Our first ever vintage - a 1997 Collier Falls Zinfandel - earned a 90 rating in Wine Spectator. Our current Zinfandel release scored 92 points in Wine & Spirits and was named one of the top 10 Zins of 2012.
